friendlytree:

even if its just carrying it back to camp from lightning strikes or forest fires, PLEASE tell me that if the clan elders perish tumblr will keep the perimeter bonfires alive and protect our children and elderly from wolves and neanderthalsĀ

Dude, I made fire with rubbing sticks together (no, not a euphemism). Some eccentric historian I met in Scotland taught me.

This is an art blog, so I can look at it and be guilted into arting some more. I also have a second blog, were I rabble about stuff.

I absolutely never get bored at work and draw on the floor when I’m supposed to be mopping. Nope, never. I am good worker. Honest.

I made jelly-mitts!

My first serious stranded colour work project, I think they came out pretty good. I had to alter the pattern a little, the thumb was way to small for my hands, but I think my tension’s real tight compared to most knitters, so hmm.

Splashed out and made them them with 100% merino wool, and they feel amazing.

Robot -v- Giant Squid: Invasion of the kitchen
So for christmas someone got me a whisk that looks like a squid which is amazing, then for birthday a few months ago I got the robot. The robot comes apart into measuring cups. They are two of my favourite kitchen things.
The robot was apparently purchased in New Zeland (we’re based in the UK, for reference) four months previously; that is just some ninja level forward planning. If I’ve got enough spoons I can just about handle buying birthday cards on my way to the party.
